Case Study
Neurospine Center (Virtual Private Network Solution)
The project scope was to design and implement an internal wide area network (WAN) for connectivity of customer's data and applications. In addition, each office needed high-speed Internet connectivity utilizing that office's Internet link. Data going across the wide area network had to be encrypted and secure. The corporate offices are located in Appleton, Green Bay, and Oshkosh. Each office was connected to the Internet via Wireless, T1, and Cable respectively. The project involved setting up each office to connect to Appleton via a VPN tunnel. The security architecture was designed using 3DES IPSEC encryption utilizing Cisco 831 routers at the satellite offices and Cisco 1720 with VPN bundle as the VPN gateway. Upon completion, each location had high speed Internet capability and the ability to share internal information securely between locations.
