Case Study

Krause Publications (Multi-state WAN Solution; Disaster Recovery)

The project scope was to design and implement a network that would provide redundant Internet connectivity to the company corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio and one of its major hubs in Wisconsin. The objective was to protect against the failure of a single Internet Provider, build a network that would optimize traffic between these locations utilizing one of the providers both locations have in common, and to lay the ground work for the implementation of a high availability architecture that would provide disaster recovery via servers mirrored at each location. The network was architected utilizing multiple Cisco platforms and BGP algorithms.
